Annual appeal has raised £1m

The Guardian and Observer’s annual appeal has raised £1 million, just 3 weeks after the appeal launched. The campaign is raising money for Citizens Advice and Locality to help us provide much-needed support to people experiencing hardship and poverty as a result of the cost-of-living crisis.

This funding will help to support our core services with the rising demand we’re seeing. The success of the appeal is a powerful recognition of the vital work we do to support local communities in finding a way forward, and that continues into 2023.
